Akoya pearls are renowned for their perfect round shape and exceptional sheen. The pin bears the Mikimoto hallmark and a silver mark.

Kokichi Mikimoto was a brilliant entrepreneur who succeeded in creating the world’s first cultured pearl. He continued to advance the science of pearl cultivation, opening his first pearl boutique in Tokyo’s Ginza district in 1899. Stores in London, Paris, and other major cities soon followed. Today, the Mikimoto brand is among the foremost producers of fine cultured pearls, known for the highest grade of pearls available and superior craftsmanship.

The brooch is in exceptional condition, exhibiting a well-maintained appearance that is close to mint. The pearls retain their original luster and the sterling silver setting shows minimal signs of wear, consistent with careful preservation.

This stunning brooch can add a touch of sophistication to any outfit with its combination of pearls and silver. You can wear it on a lapel, scarf, or sweater to add a stylish touch. The brooch also has a silver loop, so you can wear it as a pendant on a chain if you prefer. 8.42 grams.
