Condition

The lever safety catch and the hinge are in good working order. The gold, enameling, and hard stone have faint minor scratches from age. The hard stone is intact and in one solid piece. It looks like there are cracks in the back of the hard stone, but it is due to the natural composition of the white agate. There are no missing pearls or chips. There might be some slight imperfections in the carving since it was hand-carved making this a unique piece. The scroll work is complete, and the bezel is intact as well. Some slight patina on the metal. No signs of soldering. The bezel has a hinge and easy to hide when being used as a brooch. We will be happy to provide more close-up images upon request.
