Description

This is a classic, hand carved, circa 1900, carnelian hardstone cameo ring in a simple bezel frame. The soft white relief is of a maiden wearing a hood, facing left. Throughout history, carnelian stones are believed to help with courage and prosperity. As a protection stone, it is believed it keeps you safe from harm and misfortune. Cameos, historically, had various purposes and were decorated with a wide range of carvings. What is consistent, is the fact that, they make memorable gifts for all generations.

Condition

The 9K gold shank has faint minor scratches that are normal from use over time and has some patina. The stone is all intact and has no chips.
