Description

This fascinating mid-century modern two-tier Italian glass chandelier features acanthus leaf shades on a chrome frame. The textured glass shades are enhanced with amber specks dispersed throughout and concentrated on the trim, creating a lush burnt orange or amber hue, depending on the light used.

The amber accents create a warm glow and welcoming atmosphere. When illuminated, the lighted amber leaves are reminiscent of fireflies glowing. This distinctive chandelier would be a wonderful statement piece for a living room, dining room, or entryway.

Dimensions without ceiling cover and chain: H=43 in. W=20 in. D=20 in. 15 lbs.

Condition

This chandelier is rewired to meet US electrical standards. It takes ten base-size bulbs, incandescent or LED. Each light bulb can use up to a maximum of 60 watts. The top acts as a ceiling cover. If more length is required, the top has three feet of wire for a chain, which is not included.

Glass blown and molded by hand, no part is perfect or identical. There might be natural imperfections, but no chips, or cracks in the glass. The metal frame is intact but there are two inconspicuous repairs: one arm has a small spot of solder where it connects to the stem. The other arm has a screw as reinforcement where it connects to the stem as well (see images). The repairs have restored its original stability. Please see all the images, especially the close-ups. Parts are disassembled and require assembly.
