Description

This version of superbly hand-carved beech fauteuils has the classical features of chairs from the early 18th Century. The seatbacks are cartouche-shaped with a central bouquet of flowers on the top curves. The S-Scroll arm supports match the cabriole legs and terminate with scroll feet. The upholstery is a neutral striped cream color that can blend well with most color schemes. However, they can also be reupholstered with modern fabric for a more refreshed look.

Condition

One of the chairs has more nicks, scratches, and chips than the other, but these are not readily noticeable. Minor touchups such as filling in dents and chips have been done to the chairs. However, no repairs have been done to the frame or legs. A recent waxing has enhanced the color of the natural beech wood nicely. The upholstery is in good condition except for a watermark on the seat of one of the chairs. We will be happy to provide additional images upon request.
