This Circa 1930 Czechoslovakia hand-crafted Art Deco burl walnut Morris style recliner chair that features a hinged back for reclining. The reclining angle is adjusted through four rows of racks, on the back of each arm, for each reclining position. A metal bar is hooked on the row that creates the desired recline. The arms have a great shape and the bottom can be pulled out to rest your legs. It is upholstered with a soft beige chenille fabric that is in good condition.

Condition

The frame is complete and has no repairs. The veneer has chips, cracks and dents on the arms and legs. There is some bubbling on the veneer from changes in humidity over time. However, the original French polish is in good condition. The chair reclines smoothly, and the bottom pulls out for the footrest. All the feet of the chair are sturdy and complete. At 15.5 inches high, the seat may be low for some. The upholstery is in good condition and has no stains. We will be happy to provide more images upon request.
