The Tianqiuping vase was first developed during the Ming Dynasty and known for its rounded body and long straight neck. Tianqiuping translates to ‘celestial sphere vase’ in Chinese. They became immensely popular in the Qing dynasty, quickly becoming court favorites. This particular porcelain vase has been decorated with cobalt silk ball stamps that resemble images of a kaleidoscope. The lip has been decorated with delicate swirls that resemble clouds or wind. Meanwhile, the white glazed inset base has a blue four-character Qianlong reign mark. Even though this beautiful vase is a modern-day copy, its unique design makes it one of a kind and a perfect statement piece for any room.

This lovely vase has some faint nicks and scratches. There are visible clay scraps in the bottom of the vase. The foot-rim has an indication of being rubbed to simulate age. The glaze has a glossy finish that accentuates the cobalt stamping. Overall, this vase is in good condition and the ripples both on the interior and exterior show the time and care the potter took into creating this one-of-a-kind vase.
