Circa 1940 Maison Jansen Gold and Silver Gilt Dining Table. Maison Jansen was a Paris-based interior designer office founded by the talented Dutch-born Jean-Henri Jansen. This gorgeous table has a brilliant gold and silver leaf top. The gilding is protected by glass. The top is one solid piece of mahogany. The mahogany has been painted a lovely distressed white and sits on two masterfully carved lyre shaped pedestals. It is stamped Jansen. It would add luster to any room.
