Circa 1760 French Provincial Oak Dresser Cabinet With Glass Doors and Shelving. This overwhelming dresser has glass cabinet doors with two pull out drawers and another cabinet door below. Gracefully hand carved with original brass handles. All atop bun feet. It is the most suitable cabinet for displaying books or china.

| Condition | The glass is original. The wood has normal shrinkage due to its age and thus slight separation in the wood can be seen throughout. The top section tilts forward from the wood having warped due to age. The bottom right door has been restored. During that time period, it was common to use wooden dowel pins and pegs to attach the parts of the piece. The top shelves are original but the bottom shelves were added later since originally, there where no shelves on the bottom. Overall, the piece is 260 years old and the condition is considered good for its age. Please examine the images carefully. Dismantles in three sections. |
