Description

This magnificent piece is surrounded by mesmerizing details, including the acanthus leaves which create a greater presence. The patina on the gilt carved wood highlights the carving of the acanthus leaves along with the gold leaf surrounding the entire front of the mirror. The mirror itself is a splendorous part of the piece, which emphasizes the uniqueness and aged look through the oxidized mirror. And ebony border encircles the mirror. There is a beautifully carved figure of a deer peacefully sitting on the top of the mirror.

Condition

This piece has some minor imperfections, including chips and scratches. There are some scruffs and a missing piece of wood in the back, however, this does not affect the structure of the mirror. The back of the mirror has some extra wood pieces for additional reinforcement. The mirror has oxidation due to the age.
