Description
Set of four mid-century Murano tubular pendant lights in richly layered amber and white “incamiciato” glass, inspired by the celebrated mid-century designs of Carlo Nason, the renowned Italian glass designer known for his innovative work with cased glass and sculptural forms. Each shade is handblown using the traditional incamiciato (cased) technique, in which a core of white opal glass (lattimo) is encased in a sheath of amber-toned glass. This layered construction creates a beautiful visual depth: the exterior reads as a warm, honeyed amber with darker caramel accents, while the white interior reflects and softens the light, producing an even, diffused glow rather than glare.
The elongated cylindrical forms are distinguished by an organic, dripped surface that gives them a sculptural, almost molten appearance, with subtle variations from piece to piece that underscore their artisan, handblown origin. When illuminated, the combination of amber outer layer and white interior amplifies the warm tone of the glass, casting an inviting, atmospheric light that is especially flattering in dining, bar, and living spaces.
This versatile set can be installed in a linear arrangement over a kitchen island or bar, clustered at staggered heights in an entry or stairwell, or used individually as statement accents. Together, they offer a striking example of mid-century Italian glass design, balancing sculptural presence with warm, modernist elegance that integrates seamlessly into both contemporary and vintage-inspired interiors.
Retains approximately 2 feet of original chain, which may be used as is or replaced to suit the desired drop. Includes roughly 3 feet of electrical wire at the top, allowing the hanging height to be adjusted to preference. A ceiling canopy and mounting hardware are required and are not included.
