Fine pair of Late 19th Century Louis XV Style Rococo Gilt Bronze Sconces. The body of these sconces have well cast acanthus leaf scrolls that flow throughout. Even the candle cups have an acanthus leaf design. These sconces will add a touch of classic French richness to your home.

| Condition | These sconces were mold made so there might be some slight imperfections that add to the beauty of the sconces. The castings are superb. These sconces have had no repairs and are complete with no missing pieces. There are slight scratches due to the antiqueness. There is pitting on the gilt throughout but is not readily noticeable. They have been electrified to meet US electrical standards. Each sconce uses two candelabra light bulbs. Each light bulb can use up to max of 60 watts. We recommend using LED lights because they help preserve the antique fixtures longer. Antique sconces have to be adapted to modern houses so please check with your electrician or contractor for additional specifics regarding installation. They have piercings on the top and bottom to screw onto the wall. Your contractor will know what screws to use depending on the type of wall.
