The lantern has been rewired to meet US electrical standards. It takes 6 base light bulbs. Each light bulb can use up to max of 60 watts. We recommend LED lights because they help preserve antique fixtures longer. This lantern may have to be adapted to use in a modern home. This lantern requires canopy and chain which is not included. Please check with your electrician or contractor for additional specifics on installing this piece prior to purchase. This fixture may require ceiling reinforcement due to the size and weight of the lantern. All four glass panels are original to the lantern and intact with no cracks or chips. There is some patina on the bronze and small spots of rust. The tip of one of acanthus leaves forming the bottom trim has been repaired. Please review the images. We will be happy to provide additional closeup images upon request. Due to the fragile nature of the curved glass and the weight, this fixture requires special handing and shipping. We recommend white glove packing and shipping.
