Description
Mid‑Century Italian Murano glass pendant chandelier, the three‑light interior encased by a flared, ribbed bowl richly infused with copper aventurina and dotted with colorful millefiori canes, above which twelve hand‑blown teal‑green leaf‑form elements rise from a slender central column in an expressive, organic Venetian style. Copper aventurina, created by suspending fine copper particles in the molten glass, produces a warm metallic sparkle, while the scattered, embedded millefiori “thousand flowers” canes add vibrant, jewel‑like bursts of color that make this piece especially luminous. The combination of aventurina, millefiori decoration, and sculptural leaf‑form elements is highly consistent with mid‑century work by Barovier & Toso; however, this chandelier is not signed and is therefore offered as “in the manner of Barovier,” without attribution to the firm.
Because of the teal leaves and warm copper, it pairs especially well with dark walls, stone, or wood tones where the glass can shimmer against a richer backdrop, especially in spaces that lean into Italian modern, coastal Mediterranean, or Art Deco–inspired design.
Dimensions without ceiling cover and chain: H=24 in. W=16 in. D=16 in. 15 lbs.
