Description
A refined late 19th-century French Louis XVI Revival chandelier in nickel-plated brass and hand-cut crystal. This elegant fixture exemplifies the neoclassical aesthetic of the Louis XVI style — graceful symmetry, refined ornament, and luminous clarity — interpreted with the sophisticated techniques and materials of the Belle Époque period.
The chandelier features a delicate birdcage form with nine candle-form lights, each resting on ribbed crystal bobèches and surrounded by finely faceted crystal prisms. The frame’s gentle scrolling arms and architectural detailing in nickel-plated brass create a subtle contrast between brilliance and restraint, while a cut-glass baluster stem and diamond-patterned crystal ball complete the composition.
An exceptional example of late 19th-century French craftsmanship, newly rewired and ready for installation. This fixture requires a canopy and chain, which is not included.
Dimensions without ceiling cover and chain: H=42 in. W=20 in. D=20 in. 35 lbs.
