Circa 1950 French Verre Églomisé Reversed Painted Mirror With Black Leather Top and Ash-Trim Writing Desk. Art and history all delivered in one amazing piece. Verre Églomisé is a French term referring to the process of applying both a design and gilding onto the rear face of glass to produce a mirror finish. This technique derives from late antiquity and was transmitted by the Early Christian tradition. Mesmerizing work of golden embossing design along the edges of the leather top.

Condition

Some cracks and stains to the mirror located around the legs of the table. The front right leg and back right leg have the crack, but no loos or missing pieces of glass. Slight stain is on the right front leg but is not noticeable. Happy to send more closeup images.
