Description

Circa 1920 Neoclassical Gilt Brass and Frosted Cut Glass Pendant Fixture. This fixture gives a beautiful radiance within its gilt brass frame. The brass frame has palmettes, floral rosettes, acanthus leaves, and swags around its border, all wonderfully detailed. The frosted glass dome gives a soft luster when lit. The glass is nicely etched with a decorative design throughout. When looking up from the bottom, the etching resembles a flower.

This chandelier has been rewired to meet US electrical standards and takes one base light bulb. We recommend using LED lights because they help preserve antique fixtures longer. Antique fixtures must be adapted to modern homes. This fixture requires a canopy and chain that are not included to hang from the ceiling. Please check with your electrician or contractor for additional specifics on installing antique lighting.

All the pieces to this chandelier are original. All the brass and bronze parts and moldings are complete and have had no repairs. The glass was hand-cut, so there might be some slight imperfections that make this fixture unique. The glass is original to the fixture and is intact but has slight scratches from age. We will be happy to provide additional images upon request.
