Set of Eight Edwardian English Chippendale Revival Mahogany Chairs

Overall condition: Very good, with minor professional restorations consistent with age. The chairs are stable, sturdy, and in good overall condition, with minor, inconspicuous nicks consistent with their age and use. They exhibit light age-related shrinkage cracks, none of which affect structural integrity. The chairs have been professionally repaired where necessary and freshly waxed to enhance their appearance and preserve the wood.

Chair I shows a repair to the front left leg and light wear around the back splat, as visible in the accompanying images. Chair III has a repair on the top right edge of the back, while Chair IV features a repair to the back right leg. Chair VIII has a repair to the back left leg. All repairs have been executed to a professional standard, ensuring the chairs remain structurally sound and visually appealing.

The upholstery is showing light‑induced fading, where the original salmon hue has softened to a lighter beige, along with scattered water stains. Reupholstery is recommended. The seats are removable, facilitating ease of reupholstery.
