Description

This exquisite Neoclassical-style flush mount fixture embodies timeless elegance and classical grandeur. The Neoclassical style, renowned for its majestic scale, geometric precision, and intricate Greek detailing, emerged as a refined artistic movement in France before captivating all of Europe with its sophistication and grace.

This flush mount showcases a beautifully crafted bronze pan with a column-like design accentuated by a delicate beaded rim. While elegantly simple, the design features gracefully curved vertical lines that harmonize perfectly with the intricate upper and lower rim motifs. The centerpiece of this fixture is a stunning amber alabaster bowl. Alabaster, a cherished stone known for its workability and distinctive veining, imparts a rich texture and depth. When illuminated, the alabaster bowl bathes the room in a warm, lava-like glow, creating an inviting and serene ambiance.

Completing this masterpiece is a finial adorned with meticulously detailed acanthus leaves. These leaves, echoing the motif found on the flush mount’s pan, symbolize immortality and were a hallmark of Neoclassical design. The clustered leaves taper gracefully to a delicate tip, adding an element of refined beauty.

This spectacular fixture is a true statement piece, certain to enhance the aesthetic appeal of any home. Its captivating alabaster shade is an undeniable focal point, suitable for illuminating hallways, bedrooms, or even a luxurious master closet.

This fixture is rewired to meet US electrical standards. It takes four base light bulbs, incandescent or LED. It will require screws for mounting. Please check with your electrician or contractor for additional specifics on installing this type of fixture before purchase.

The light fixture is nearly perfect, with minor blemishes like tiny holes, a watermark, stain spots, and two dents (see images). The bottom center of the alabaster bowl has a ring mark from over-tightening the bronze finial (see image). Alabaster is a stone that scratches easily. However, it is concealed by the finial. The hanging ring is for display only; the fixture will be flush with the ceiling when installed.

The finial at the bottom allows for easy removal and attachment of the bowl for light bulb changes as needed. Care should be taken not to overtighten the finial, as excessive force can crack the alabaster. The alabaster bowl is heavy, accounting for 45 pounds of the total 50-pound weight.
