Description

As with people, imitation is considered the best compliment. These tables are modern reproductions of French Louis XV bronze and marquetry work. Louis XV is one of the most favored furniture styles in history that is still relevant and desirable. The curves and asymmetry in the designs are perfect for balancing out overly structured modern and classical interiors, adding femininity and extravagance.

Furthermore, 18th Century French furniture designs were influenced by the monarchy’s willingness to spend state funds with the purpose of achieving opulence and excellence. Exotic timbers for marquetry were commonly used despite the costs and labor involved in acquiring them.
High-quality pieces from such an era remain just as extravagant and expensive.

Reproductions can be satisfactory alternatives for those that want the look but do not want to spend the price for the real period pieces and/or do not want the responsibility of care they might require. This regal pair of side tables can be used together to flank a bed, sofa, or on opposite sides of a hallway. They can be used individually in different rooms as accent tables or occasional tables.

These tables are reproductions of French Louis XV bronze and marquetry. The faux marquetry is painted to mimic veneers of beech, rosewood, amaranth, and blond mahogany woods. It is made of hardboard that is veneered with wood that has been stained in dark chocolate. They are garnished with brass trim and bronze mounts. Both tables have faint scratches and nicks on the veneer. However, the laminate coating is not damaged. There are no repairs.
