19th Century Renaissance Revival Wine Table with Marble Top

This 19th Century French Renaissance Revival wine table stands on hand-carved tripod legs. A white marble top sits on top of a frieze trim. The base of the table has a floral pattern with acanthus leaves coming down toward the knees. The knees consist of Chimera heads forming floral carvings that come down towards the tripod base. Very unusual and handsome.

The marble top is in good condition but has caught a small tint due to age along with scratches on the rim, and a nick on the top. The base of the tabletop has scratches and has splits within the sections. The gold leaf has a wonderful patina building up. The frieze trim in this piece is complete with minor scratches from age.
