Description
Circa 17th Century French Wooden Saint John the Baptist. Exceptionally hand-carved, this Saint holds a lamb and a bible in his hand. The lamb is a common attribute to John the Baptist, it symbolizes his recognition of Jesus as the son of the Lord. This figurine has also been hand-painted however over time the paint has worn off. It is a religious symbol of peace and faith and would be a superb piece to have in the home.
