Description

A bold pair of large wall sconces presenting a dramatic semi-circular, tiered silhouette. Designed to make a statement without visual heaviness, each fixture features five graduated descending layers of sand-blasted tempered glass, shaped to softly diffuse the light and create a warm, atmospheric glow.

On each, the glass tiers are mounted on a semi-circular chrome front frame, highlighting crisp geometry, clean lines, and the streamlined elegance synonymous with Art Deco form

While there is no manufacturer’s label, the overall design language is reminiscent of Jean Perzel (French, 1880-1993), particularly in the sculptural chrome framing, the graduated sand-blasted glass tiers, and the softly diffused, warm illumination; however, the work is not attributed to Perzel.

A striking choice as accent lighting or as decorative wall sculpture in both contemporary and classic interiors, these sconces offer collector-worthy presence.

Rewired for USA using UL components, each sconce accommodates two E12 candelabra base lights, incandescent or LED.

Polished chrome is in excellent condition, with no pitting. It shows only minor surface scratches and an inconspicuous minuscule chip on the bottom right side of the largest glass of one of the sconces (see image).

Two extremely subtle screw-contact indents are present at the points where the glass retaining screws secure the components. See close-up photos for these construction/fastening indents; they are not repairs, mistakes, or damage—they help keep the glass tiers stable and properly aligned.
