This chandelier has been rewired to meet US electrical standards and takes 8 candelabra light bulbs. Each light bulb can use up to a maximum of 60 watts. We recommend using LED lights because they help preserve antique fixtures longer. Antique fixtures must be adapted to modern homes. This fixture requires a canopy and chain that is not included to hang from the ceiling. Please check with your electrician or contractor for additional specifics on installing antique lighting. All the crystals are complete, none are missing, broken, or chipped (including the crystal bobeches). All the pieces to this chandelier are original. There are some brass elements that have been painted. There is some soldering on the holes where the electrical wire was threaded. The brass extensions holding crystals are thin and fragile and can bend or snap if the chandelier is not handled with care.
