Late 19th Century Pair of Continental Apothecary Jar Table Lamps. Each jar is hand-painted with the profile of Hippocrates and the Rod of Achlespius with a mix of colors that creates an aesthetically pleasing contrast along the surface. One jar is labeled Ung-De Litarg and the second is labeled Polvos de Alcan. These old and empty medicine jars are now mounted as lamps. Each weighs approximately 5 lbs.

The lamps use 1 base light bulb each. Each light bulb can use up to max of 60 watts. We recommend to use LED lights because it helps preserve the antique fixtures better and longer. These lamps have been rewired to meet US electrical standards. No chips or cracks on the porcelain. Some wear from age. Shades are in good condition but may be replaced to your liking.
