The top and pedestal are solid mahogany. The base is pine veneered with mahogany. Some of the original gold paint is worn, but nonetheless, looks exquisite. There are light scratches and dents. One of the paw foot of the table has an old repair, but the table is sturdy. All the moldings and carvings are complete. Since this table is hand carved, there are slight imperfections which make this table unique and one of a kind. The tabletop tilts smoothly and has the original brass hinge. We will be happy to provide more closeup images upon request. We recommend shipping it in one piece. It can be dismantled but requires understanding of fitting the antique pieces back together.
