Condition

Most of the chairs have old repairs on the top rail of the backrest. One of the chairs is missing the rondel in the middle rail. One of the chairs also has an old repair on the front left leg. Despite the age and repairs, they are sturdy. The chairs have survived more than 200 years of wear and can withstand more. To maintain them in good condition one must consider the following. That the sitter does not rock back and forth in the chairs and knows how to get on and off properly. The chairs can withstand average weight, but not 300 lbs. Some small nicks and light scratches due to the antiqueness. The seats have removable slip seats which make them easy to reupholster. Some minor wear on the fabric of the seats, but overall, in good condition. We will be happy to provide additional close-up images upon request.
