Description

This mid-century Murano glass chandelier has four tapered tiers of alternating amber glass discs with white and clear glass disks with a marbleized design. The discs are individually handblown elements. The marbleized design is a combination of cristallo glass spotted with white pigmented paste glass. The spots are created by rolling the molten glass in a cluster of white glass pieces before hand-blowing each piece. As each glass form is shaped, the white glass stretches and softens in appearance. This chandelier style is modeled after pieces by Italian designer Gino Vistosi for Venini.

This fixture comes with a canopy to install smoothly and evenly with the ceiling making it perfect for short ceilings at 26 of height. However, it has three feet of wire at the top if you need to lengthen the fixture more than 26 inches of height desired, but this would require a canopy and chain.

Rewired to US electrical standards, it takes six base-size bulbs, incandescent or LED. Ships disassembled.

This fixture comes with a canopy to install smoothly and evenly with the ceiling. However, it has three feet of wire at the top if you need to lengthen the fixture more than 26 inches of height, but this would require a canopy and chain.

There is wear on the brass frame due to age. Glassblown, no part is perfect or identical. There might be natural imperfections. Some discs have air bubbles from the making. Two of the discs have flea-bit chips but unnoticeable once placed on the frame (see the images). The discs have rubber thumps to protect them from screws. Please see all the images, especially the close-ups.

Parts are disassembled and require assembly. This fixture will require special handling and shipping by an experienced white glove service experienced in dismantling, packaging, and reassembling upon installation. To ship, it is dissembled.
