Circa 1886-1887 English emerald cabochon clustered with eight old mine cut diamonds set on 18K yellow gold. Through time, the emerald has been known as a symbol of truth and love. Hallmarks include the crown standard for gold and the anchor of the Assay Office of Birmingham along with the letter 'm' for the year. The initials show collaboration of two makers , 'M & G', registered at the assay office. The gold has faint scratches which are normal for its age from use over time. Has no missing gemstones.
