Condition

Each sconce takes one base light bulb each. Each light bulb can use up to max of 60 watts. More than 60 watts may cause the alabaster to burn. They are electrified to meet USA electrical standards. We recommend using LED lights because it helps preserve the antique fixtures better and longer. Antique sconces must be adapted to modern houses. Please check with your electrician or contractor for additional specifics. There are some deep veins on the sconces which are due to its mineral composition and may be confused for cracks. However, both sconces do have cracks that have been repaired. The cracks, however, blend in to look like the deep veins of the alabaster. There is a slight separation between the chrome plated bronze frame and the alabaster shades. One side of one of the sconces has a more noticeable separation. Please review images closely. You can only notice the separation from the side, but not when you are looking straight forward at them. The chrome was patinated to emphasize the carved bronze details. There is some wear and fading on the chrome. We will be happy to provide more images upon request.
