Circa 1870 Victorian English Calamander Letterbox. This beautiful letterbox has bronze cartouches and gorgeous turquoise decals. Originally used as a receptacle for receiving incoming mail. It has a royal purple velvet lining that adds to the overall elegance of the box. Calamander wood is a valuable wood from Sri Lanka and Southeast Asia. It is a hazel-brown color, with black stripes, very heavy and hard. It would be the perfect piece for storing priceless treasures and love letters.
