Wall Mounted Mirror with Sconces
Circa 1900 Belle Époque bronze, brass and copper swivel wall mounted mirror with two arm crystal scones on the sides. The beveled mirror is encased in a decorative brass frame with bronze appliques and is attached to two supporting swivel screws attached to bases that require being screwed to the wall. Devil or griffin face mounts on the sides of the mirror are cast copper as well as the cast brackets that mount on the wall. The mirror weighs approximately 90 lbs. The screws required to hold the mirror will depend on the type of wall, thus they are not included. Like a cheval mirror, this mirror can be adjusted to the desired angle. The sconces have been rewired to meet US electrical standards and require two 60-watt candelabra base bulbs. However, if a more romantic ambience is desired, the sconces can be adapted to their originality using real candles. The crystals prisms reflect the light in mesmerizing splendor. The Belle Époque period was characterized by economic prosperity, regional peace, and optimism, making it a time of "joie de vivre" which translates to " joy of living." Add some "joie de vivre" to any room with this gorgeous mirror!
