Alfred-Arthur Brunel de Neuville was a French painter. In his twenties he became renowned for his famous animal and still life paintings. This particular piece done in the realism fashion. A group of kittens are set against a dark background and are portrayed as somewhat mischievous. There is a bowl of milk set in front them. Frame and Canvas measures 15 1/2" x 19 1/2". Canvas measures 13" x 9". Weighs approximately 2lbs. Frame is in good condition and original to the piece. The back of the canvas has been restored/fixed.
